Giza Pyramids

Pyramids! wow

This was something we've always wanted to see but never thought we'd actually see them. We just thought it was such an amazing thing to see and loved the entire experience being there.

We took our tour van to the pyramids, about a 30 minute, but along the way we took a nap because the heat was just getting to us. We were awoken by the other people in the van who weren't sleeping, looked to our right, and in the distance stood these giants. It is really amazing to see pyramids, something so ancient, so foreign, so different, so mysterious, but still so real.

Before we got to the entrance we stopped at a small Egyptian/fast food place where we had a delicious lunch. We stood eating our chicken sandwiches looking in awe at these pyramids in a near distance.

We got to the entrance and our tour guide asked if we wanted to ride a camel. Yes. duh.

We then walked around the first/largest of the pyramids there, took pictures, and ran back to the van which had the air conditioning.

After driving to another location, we got out, jumped on some camels, and went on a ride while viewing two enormous pyramids to our back, the desert to our front, and the Sphinx to our left. Amazing.

PYRAMIDS!

It is really steep.

Martin!

The boulders used to build the pyramid are much larger than expected. They are solid, solid rock and makes you wonder how they could even move one.
