The two pictures of buildings is the view from Amy's front door. She has a really cool apartment in a beautiful neighborhood. For those who don't know who Chris and Amy are, Chris was Pat's college roommate/teammate. Amy was Katie's swimming teammate at Ucla. Chris now goes to Oxford University, he took the bus over to Amy's to see us. Amy goes to Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in London. We'll be hanging out with them the next week or so before we head off to Nairobi.

Friends we met on the plane
On our way from LA to Atlanta Katie sat next to Joanne (middle). Katie told her about our trip and she said her husband (Butch) who was sitting a few rows ahead did some missionary work in South America and Africa. He was telling us, in his deep Georgia accent, about his time there, how much he loved the experience, and how it will help change our lives. He began telling us about his friend Spagna (left) who is from Zimbabwe. He was telling us a little about her and we thought they had been friends for ages. Once we got off the plane we began talking to everyone and Butch blessed us with an amazing gift. We all started talking and we found out Butch and Joanne barely met Spagna before they go onto the plane. Their kindness and love really shows about who they are, to be able to feel so comfortable with people they've never met. They're pretty special people. We ended up walking with Spagna to the International Terminal and she is an amazing person as well. We've met some wonderful people so far and we've only been in the airport at this time! Well we're glad to have made some new friends.
We're in London
We're at Katie's college swimming teammate Amy Thurman's apartment. It took us a full day practically to get here. We met some pretty cool people on our flights and in the airports. Pat's college roommate, Chris Joseph, is over at Amy's as well and we're all catching up. We'll eventually post pictures.... hi mom's and dad's
